Walgreens sims coordinator responsibilities
Walgreens prides itself on helping the community. My department does a lot to keep the employees engaged. There are a lot of Employee Engagement events. I love working at walgreens. I loved moving up in the company, i started out in the cosmetic department went to photo and did some work in pharmacy then I ended up being the sim coordinator.
Pros Coworkers, customers. Cons Coworkers, customers. Jobs at Walgreens Coordinator positions. Work at Home Service Desk Coordinator. Coordinator, Content Production. Coordinator, Supply Chain. Coordinator Business Transformation Office. Amazing company to work for. They always took care of their associates no matter the circumstance. Customer service driven and a lot of teamwork provided to get the jobs done. Pros Discounts. Cons No overtime.
I was an assistant manager I really liked my job and working with Walgreen's, at the time of my employment with Walgreens I enjoyed serving the customers. Started as overnight cashier and stocker was eventually promoted to SIMS Coordinator and did all of the ordering and built displays most of my managers were likable.
Not a horrible place to work, overall. Customers can be difficult and pharmacy can be stressful. Hours and pay are okay. Its a typical retail job. Scan, work out product, repeat. It was a nice job, if you are non-management you are typically quite young they will have to pay more if they want to keep talent in their company, im not sure if mcdonalds even pays less.

Employees are taught to help coworkers and managers where and when needed and, thus, you learn many different jobs in a short amount of time. I loved my coworkers, the variety of my work, and the way in which others entrusted me to be self-motivated and responsible in meeting project deadlines. You can advance very quickly if you prove to be a hard-working individual and do your best for the sake of the store, the customers, and your fellow employees.
A large concern was the lack of security, however, as this is greatly needed in stores that are open overnight and are at greater risk of theft, robbery, and other possible criminal activity.
Pros company discount, easy to transfer locations, benefit packages, career advancement opportunities, customer service experience, vacation days and paid sick days. Cons Lack of management, poor discipline and lack of morale within company of those who are not self-motivated, constant company changes, outdated or inefficient computer software and applications in all areas except photo department, high lack of security for employees.
Here I learned how to place and cancel orders on a device called an RMU. I also worked the photo department, Customer service, I also worked in the receiving department, and I also set up merchandise on the endcaps and displays. Then I became the Sims coordinator. I liked working at Walgreens. It is busy most days so employees have to be able to stand for long periods of times. They are open days a year so be prepared to work some holidays. On a daily basis you primary focus is to help the customers with their needs.
On occasion you are required to help with the stocking of merchandise and the maintenance and appearance of the store. Disaster workplace S. Cons dirty workplace, bad training. Yes There are 3 helpful reviews 3 No. Walgreens served well as a first job for me the benefits where not the worst. Great company to work for with great benefits and work life balance. It was also usually busy so there was always lots to do. Management and staff were always very accommodating.
Pharmacists are so devalued at Walgreens. The fact that store managers are on top of the pharmacy manager and controls pharmacy decisions that solely should only be made by that pharmacy manager and pharmacy team is absurd!
Store managers majority of them are without even an associate degree. Upper management is horrible and communication is absolutely non existent. Work load is insane and absolutely never could be achieved or finished.
An endless lists of tasks for both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Company need to focus on patient care and safety! Errors can easily be made with such an imaginable work load! Pay rates have gone so much down to an absurd numbers considering the loans majority of pharmacists have to pay back u end up with nothing in ur saving account specially if u have mortgage and family to take care of.
Pros Nothing. Cons Everything. Really boring, but easy. Most of the staff was really great. Most of the tasks are repetitive and monotonous. The only good part of the job was talking to coworkers. Pros Flexible schedule. Cons Super boring. Jobs at Walgreens. Work at Home Call Center Specialist. General Warehouse Team Member.
Work at Home Service Desk Coordinator. Not paid fairly at all, overbooking Covid vaccine and testing appointments to an unsafe level. Technicians required to do more work than compensated for. Not enough staff with same expectations. Company and corporate too focused on metrics and reaching numerical goals. Too much pressure to check prescriptions fast enough for their standards which leads to prescription errors. Pros Pto. Cons Overbooking vaccine and testing appointments. It pays well but it all depends on which location you work at.
You're expected to work every holiday and there's not much of a work-home balance. Because it's always so busy, it's difficult to get proper training. I would deter anyone from applying here, you have to see things for yourself.
The pay is okay and the hours are fine as well. Availability for VTO on second shift a lot of times. Plenty of work but the pay sucks. In the Pharmacy there's so much work to be done. Plenty of hours in my busy location. The pay is terrible and benefits are nothing to rave about. Management does not care and is overworked. Some coworkers become friends for life and are the only reason for staying.
Pros Co workers. Overtime and hours. Cons Company only cares about metrics. One of the best things about retail is the ability to relocate and have a job in line.
Walgreens meets the expectations in that way. I have worked for Walgreens for 5 years now and I have seen many budget cuts, hourly pay cuts, and high turnover. The pay is below the industry standard for the same work. I would work for CVS better pay if the choice was between them. Pros Reliable transfer, flexible hours. Cons pay cuts, hour shortage, expectations. Like most companies all about politics.
